Assigning Fleet Locations

Last updated 3 months ago

Location management in Loopit helps you specify where your vehicles are stored or available for customer bookings. This feature is essential for businesses operating from multiple locations, ensuring that vehicles are correctly assigned and visible for the right customers.

Assign a Vehicle to a Location

1

Access the Dashboard:

Log in to Loopit and navigate to the Fleets section.

2

Select a Vehicle:

Choose the vehicle you want to assign to a specific location.

3

Open the Locations Tab:

  • In the vehicle’s Details menu, select the Locations tab.

  • This tab shows the list of locations available in your account.

4

Assign Locations:

  • Add the location(s) where this vehicle should be available.

    • Example: If you want the vehicle to be available at "Loopit HQ," select and add it from the list.

  • Assign the vehicle to one or multiple locations depending on your business model:

    • Multi-location Availability: For businesses willing to transfer vehicles between locations or offer flexibility in pickup points.

    • Single-location Availability: For businesses requiring customers to pick up vehicles from a specific location.

5

Save Your Changes:

Once you've assigned the desired locations, save the changes to ensure they take effect.

Impact on Booking Availability

  • Unassigned Locations: Vehicles not assigned to a location will not appear in search results when customers look for vehicles at that location.

  • Assigned Locations: Vehicles assigned to a specific location will appear in search results for that location during the booking process.

Assign vehicles to multiple locations if your locations are close together or if you can transfer vehicles between locations.

Remove irrelevant locations if customers must collect vehicles from a specific site to avoid confusion and ensure a seamless booking experience.
