Creating an Inspection Template

Inspection templates in Loopit are versatile tools designed to record vehicle details during various scenarios, including:

  • Vehicle handover

  • Vehicle return

  • Pre-service vehicle boarding

The key advantage is the ability to fully customize inspections according to your business needs for different packages and purposes.

How to Create an Inspection Template

  1. Navigate to Settings > Inspection Templates

  2. Click "New Template"

  3. Name the Template

    • Provide a descriptive name (e.g., "Example Template")

  4. Use the Inspection Builder to Create Questions

Loopit offers multiple question types to suit different inspection requirements:

  • Meter Reading (e.g., odometer reading)

  • Fuel Level

  • E-signature

  • Text Question

  • Number Answer

  • Pass/Fail

  • Boolean Answer

  • Dropdown

  • Date

Each question can be tailored to capture specific information relevant to your vehicle inspection process.

The flexible template system allows businesses to create detailed, precise inspection protocols that match their exact operational needs.

Assigning Inspection Templates to Packages

Inspection template assignment allows you to customize vehicle inspection protocols for different packages based on unique business requirements. This feature recognizes that inspection needs can vary significantly across different service types.

How to Assign Inspection Templates

  1. Navigate to Settings > Packages

    • View existing packages (e.g., Rental Plan, Cruise Plan, Subscription Plan)

  2. Select a Specific Package

    • Open the desired package configuration

  3. Assign Inspection Templates

    • Choose a specific template for Handover Inspection

    • Choose a different template for Return Inspection

    • Templates can be unique to each package type

Key Benefits

  • Flexibility to create multiple inspection templates

  • Ability to assign different templates to different packages

  • Customize inspections for specific service scenarios (e.g., rental vs. subscription)

Important Considerations:

  • Templates must be pre-created in the Inspection Templates section

  • Each package can have distinct handover and return inspection requirements

  • Easily configure and modify templates to match evolving business needs

The assignment process ensures that each package has precisely the right inspection protocol, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in vehicle management.
