Signing the Contract at Activation

When contract signing at activation is enabled for your workspace, you can take payment and have the customer sign their contract as part of the same activation process.

The activation flow has two steps:

  1. Process payment

  2. Contract

Once payment has been handled and the contract has been signed, you can activate the booking.

Process payment

When you activate a booking, the first step is Process payment.

You can confirm the customer's payment method and choose which invoices you want to collect at this point. This can include the first recurring invoice, deposits, or any other invoices that are due when the booking is activated.

Invoices that are due are selected for payment by default. If you do not want to collect a particular invoice yet, simply deselect it. The invoice will remain outstanding and can be collected later.

If an invoice is deselected, Loopit will let you know that it will not be collected automatically.

Once you are ready, select Continue to process the selected payments and move to the contract.

If a payment is unsuccessful, you can update the payment method and try again. Payments that have already been successful will not be processed again.

Review and sign the contract

The next step is Contract.

The contract is displayed on screen so you can review it with the customer before the booking is activated.

From here, you can view the contract, download a PDF, and choose how the customer will sign it.

Sign on this device

Choose Sign on this device if the customer is signing on the device you are currently using.

Select Capture signature, hand the device to the customer, and submit the signature once they have finished signing.

Send to kiosk

If POS contract signing is enabled for your workspace, you can send the contract to a kiosk for the customer to sign.

The customer can review and sign the agreement from the kiosk while you continue with the handover.

If this option is not enabled on your account, please speak to your Customer Success Manager about activating.

Activate the booking

Once the required payments have been handled and the contract has been signed, select Activate booking.

If a signed contract is required, the booking cannot be activated until the customer's signature has been captured.

Once activated, the booking moves to Active. Payments collected during activation are recorded against the booking, and the signed contract is kept with the booking for future reference.
