Bulk Update Booking Prices
Update recurring prices across multiple active subscription bookings in bulk and review changes before they take effect.
About Bulk Booking Price Updates
Bulk price updates allow you to update the recurring prices of multiple active subscription bookings at once.
This can be useful when applying a price increase or decrease across a group of existing bookings without updating each booking individually.
Updating Booking Prices in Bulk
To update booking prices in bulk:
Navigate to the Bookings page.
Open the actions menu and select Bulk update prices.

Use the filters to find the bookings you want to update.
Select the bookings you want to include.
You can update up to 50 bookings at a time.

Choose the recurring charge you want to update.

Enter the price adjustment.
You can:
Increase or decrease the price by a percentage.
Increase or decrease the price by a fixed amount.
Set a new price.

You can also update a price directly in the grid without selecting bookings for a bulk adjustment.

Draft changes are marked with an edit icon after they are added to the draft. You can select Discard draft to remove all draft changes and return the affected bookings to their original prices.

Price changes can be applied to individual recurring charges. For example, if a booking contains a subscription fee and another recurring charge, you can update the subscription fee without changing the other item. Only the selected recurring charges will be updated.

Review the resulting price changes. The review screen shows the bookings included in the update, the proposed price change and the resulting ongoing total.

Select Update bookings to apply the changes. Each booking is processed individually and its status is shown while the update is being applied.

Once completed, the updated pricing will be scheduled to take effect from each booking's next invoice date.
How Pricing Changes Are Applied
Bulk price updates are applied to the booking's effective rate before discount.
The original rate is not changed. Instead, Loopit updates the booking's rate adjustment so that the effective rate reflects the new price.
The effective rate is:
Original rate + existing rate adjustment
Any existing discount is then applied after the rate adjustment.
Scenario 1: No existing rate adjustment
If the booking has:
Original rate: $100
Existing rate adjustment: $0
Effective rate: $100
Discount: $10
Charge before GST: $90
After a 2% bulk price increase:
The 2% increase is calculated from the effective rate of $100
Increase amount: $2
Original rate remains $100
Rate adjustment becomes +$2
Effective rate becomes $102
Discount remains $10
Charge before GST becomes $92

Before price update

After +2% price increase
Scenario 2: Existing negative rate adjustment
If the booking has:
Original rate: $100
Existing rate adjustment: -$5
Effective rate: $95
Discount: $10
Charge before GST: $85
After a 2% bulk price increase:
The 2% increase is calculated from the current effective rate of $95
Increase amount: $1.90
Original rate remains $100
Rate adjustment changes from -$5 to -$3.10
Effective rate becomes $96.90
Discount remains $10
Charge before GST becomes $86.90

Before price update

After +2% price increase
Scenario 3: Existing positive rate adjustment
If the booking has:
Original rate: $100
Existing rate adjustment: +$10
Effective rate: $110
Discount: $10
Charge before GST: $100
After a 2% bulk price increase:
The 2% increase is calculated from the current effective rate of $110
Increase amount: $2.20
Original rate remains $100
Rate adjustment changes from +$10 to +$12.20
Effective rate becomes $112.20
Discount remains $10
Charge before GST becomes $102.20

Before price update

After +2% price increase
Important Things to Note
Bulk price updates do not change the original rate.
Percentage adjustments are calculated from the current effective rate, not the original rate.
Loopit updates the rate adjustment to produce the new effective rate.
Existing discounts remain unchanged and continue to apply after the rate adjustment.
The resulting charge is calculated from the updated effective rate, less any applicable discount.
Bookings With Scheduled Changes
Bookings that already have a scheduled change remain visible in the bulk price update screen but are not always editable.
How the booking behaves depends on where the scheduled change was created.
Scheduled Changes Created From Bulk Update Prices
If the scheduled change was created using Bulk update prices, the booking remains associated with the bulk price update flow.
You can review the scheduled price change and, if required, discard it from the bulk update screen.

Scheduled Changes Created From the Booking Overview Page
If the booking already has a scheduled change created from the normal booking update flow, the booking is shown as read-only and cannot be updated or discarded from the bulk price update screen.
This is because the scheduled change may include changes other than pricing, such as:
Package changes
Asset swaps
Changes to booking items
Other scheduled booking updates
Discarding the change from the bulk price update screen could therefore remove changes that were not created as part of a bulk price update.
You can review the existing scheduled change to understand why the booking is unavailable.
To make further changes to the booking, manage the existing scheduled change from the booking itself.

Discarding Scheduled Price Changes
Price changes created using Bulk update prices can be discarded in bulk while they are still scheduled.
Select the bookings whose scheduled price changes you want to remove, then choose the discard option.
Each booking is processed individually and the result is shown against the booking.

Only scheduled changes created through Bulk update prices can be discarded from this screen.
Scheduled changes created elsewhere are locked and must be managed from the booking.
Eligibility and Limitations
Bulk price updates are available for:
