# Payment Method Types

## Payment method types

The following payment method types are supported.

| Type                   | Description                                                   |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Card                   | Payment by card.                                              |
| SEPA Direct Debit      | Bank account debit payments in the SEPA region.               |
| AU BECS Direct Debit   | Bank account debit payments through Australia's BECS scheme.  |
| Cash                   | Off-platform: cash paid in person.                            |
| Card (terminal)        | Off-platform: a card payment taken on your own card terminal. |
| Bank transfer          | Off-platform: a payment transferred to your bank account.     |
| Other (Manual Payment) | Off-platform: any other payment received outside Loopit.      |

### Card

Use **Card** for payments made with a payment card.

### SEPA Direct Debit

Use **SEPA Direct Debit** for direct debit payments from eligible SEPA bank accounts.

### AU BECS Direct Debit

Use **AU BECS Direct Debit** for direct debit payments from Australian bank accounts.

### Off-platform Payment Method Types

**Cash**, **Card (terminal)**, **Bank transfer** and **Other (Manual Payment)** are off-platform payment method types. Use them to record a payment you received outside Loopit. Nothing is charged through your payment gateway and no surcharge applies.
