Discount Coupons

The Discounts module gives your team a structured, flexible way to apply pricing reductions to bookings — without the need for manual invoice edits or one-off adjustments.

Coupons can serve two distinct purposes within your operation, and understanding the difference helps you get the most out of the module.

Promotional Discounts

The most common use case is customer-facing promotions. Coupon codes can be shared publicly or distributed to specific customers as part of a campaign — a seasonal offer, a referral incentive, a launch promotion, or any other marketing initiative. Customers can enter their code during the online booking process, or operators can apply it on their behalf at the time of booking.

Promotional coupons are typically time-limited, capped in terms of how many times they can be redeemed, and structured as one-time or short-term recurring discounts.

Structural and Operational Discounts

Beyond promotions, coupons can also function as an internal tool for managing pricing adjustments at the account level. If a customer has a negotiated rate, a goodwill arrangement, or an ongoing pricing commitment, a recurring coupon provides a reliable and auditable way to honour that reduction every billing cycle — automatically, without requiring your team to intervene each time.

This is particularly useful in situations where a rate adjustment needs to persist for the life of a booking, or for a defined period, and manual changes would otherwise create operational overhead or risk being missed.

How It Works

Coupons are created and managed from Settings > Discounts. Each coupon is configured with a unique code, a discount value (fixed dollar amount or percentage), a billing frequency, a redemption limit, and a frequency setting that controls how many cycles the discount applies across.

Once created, a coupon can be applied to a booking during the creation process or added to an existing booking at any time. Depending on how it is configured, the discount will either expire automatically after the defined number of cycles, or remain in place until the booking ends or the coupon is manually removed.
